Shane Ivie is a highly skilled, advanced level remote viewer. He is, admittedly, not military trained but he was trained by some of the original personnel from the, once super-secret, U.S. Military psychic spy program that eventually became known as Star Gate.
Initially, Shane first became aware of Remote Viewing when the government program was declassified in 1995 and through late-night radio interviews of the members of Star Gate. It has been over two decades since Shane put his pen to the paper in an attempt to emulate the results that were being reported about RV.
In 2014 Shane was asked to write a story in the International Remote Viewing Association’s (IRVA) newsletter, Aperture (Issue 24), about his personal experience with a major crime case, this was his first entrée into the wider RV community. By the next issue of Aperture (Issue 25) he was asked to write another story; in this one he detailed the development of his RV application, Operational Handicapping®.
Both articles were well received and he was given the distinct privilege of conducting a presentation for IRVA’s annual conference (New Orleans, LA. 2016) where he further explained the process of OH.
Operational Handicapping® became widely accepted as a genuine innovation to RV as a new application. The following is the abstract for the 2016 presentation written by Paul H. Smith:
“Being able to produce names would be a huge benefit in solving difficult remote viewing problems. Yet remote viewing names is impossible. Or is it? Everything is impossible until someone comes along and does it. Shane Ivie may have the winning ticket to this long-standing problem in remote viewing. Using a basic understanding of remote viewing methodology and through careful observation of session results, he has developed a new approach that applies thoroughbred horse racing to demonstrate proof-of-principle (and, by the way, to make money). Called “Operational Handicapping” (OH), this method successfully produces the actual names of winning horses in targeted races. Operational Handicapping is in no way an application of ARV principles, but rather, Shane postulates, an open response from the Matrix identifying a simple concept: A name. Evolved, refined, and expanded, Shane’s presentation will outline the step by step development of this reliable and repeatable protocol. He will demonstrate how the process can consistently and effectively be used to predict the future through sketches and representations that are often surprisingly vivid in identifying the names of specific horses that turn out winners. With horse racing as his example, he will explain how this process might be applied to other problems and challenges in remote viewing having nothing to do with horses or racing.”
Shane would go on to write several articles for Aperture and appear in numerous issues of the newsletter. He would be invited to many of the following conferences as an attendee and guest. In 2015, Shane enrolled in Paul H. Smith’s RVIS Inc. Basic Controlled Remote Viewing (CRV) Course and would go on to complete the Intermediate Course, “Messages from Your Mind” ARV Course, Operational Remote Viewing Course, Sketching for Remote Viewing Workshop and he is in the process of completing the RVIS Inc. Advanced CRV Course. He has been a paid assistant in some of Paul’s courses and has returned to the classroom as an “auditor” for numerous repeat courses and workshops. In 2017, Shane was awarded by the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) a Federal Service mark Registration for the Term: Operational Handicapping®. This is the first ever federally protected registration for an application of RV (and not for a method). Operational Handicapping® is defined within the USPTO as:
“Consulting services in the field of remote viewing and predicting results of sporting events, Educational services, namely, providing classes in the fields of remote viewing and predicting results of sporting events.”
Shane has also participated in award-winning remote viewing experiments, conducted presentations for the Applied Precognition Project (APP), participated as an assistant for RV educational companies, participated in real-world operational projects. He has, personally, made enough money from his application of OH to purchase a company car, pay for vacations and business trips to Las Vegas, start his own company – OperationalHandicapping(dot)com, llc. and he has earned enough money with remote viewing to pay for his entire remote viewing education with Paul H Smith and RVIS, Inc.
